What is the difference between wallet sanctions screening and transaction-exposure analysis?

Wallet sanctions screening checks whether a submitted address appears in the sanctions data supplied by the screening service. Transaction-exposure analysis examines connections through transactions, including direct interactions and, where supported, indirect routes.

Cense Detect integrates the Chainalysis Sanctions API for address checks without a separate paid Chainalysis licence. Broader direct and indirect exposure analysis uses licensed intelligence. These findings answer different questions and should be interpreted separately within the bank’s review.
